Accommodation was lovely , all essentials were provided inside the huts slight traffic noise behind the huts on the main road outside the Park when you were sat out side on the veranda but didn't hear he traffic once inside the huts . Hot tubs very good but would have liked a little more information on regulating temperature as they were heated by a wood burner which we hadn't used before .

Such a lovely relaxing place to stay. Quiet and beautiful. The food on site at the restaurant was delicious. Fantastic value for money. The staff were more than happy to help. A nice walk to local areas. Will absolutely come again. Thank you

Brilliant place to stay. Beautiful view of the lake to wake up to each morning and the staff and cleanliness were both brilliant. Couldn’t fault any part of our stay was peaceful, gorgeous scenery and would highly recommend to anyone.

We recently stayed in the Kingfisher Shepherd's Hut and had a really fantastic time. The hut was surprisingly spacious with everything that we could possibly need for a short, self catering holiday. The full sized bottle of Prosecco in the fridge on arrival was a really nice surprise! It was spotlessly clean and I could tell the staff had been working really hard in this area given the current climate. The hot tub was fantastic and the view was worth every single penny, especially when we were joined by some lovely ducks in the evening. The location of the hut gave us a brilliant view of the lake whilst remaining reasonably private (although the paddle boarders do take a bit of a liberty by coming so close to the huts, especially if you're in your bikini!). It is quite close to a road and you can hear the traffic a little bit from the hut but this did not detract in any way from our enjoyment of the break. There is a restaurant on site but we didn't use this to eat, only for a couple of drinks but the staff were lovely and friendly and the bar itself was great with a fantastic view over the lake. I would have given the holiday 10 out of 10 had it not been for just a couple of niggles, but these are very small niggles. 1. It was clear that the jetty from the hut to the lake hadn't been very well maintained and there were weeds growing through the steps down to it and there was a small amount of litter just to the side. As a result, we didn't really use it for anything. 2. The information pack provided was confusing and didn't totally relate to the hut. This was partially generic given the Covid situation but it would have been good to know at check in. 3. The people using the lake for boating really do need to be told to maintain a decent distance from the cabins on the water's edge! and finally 4. Check out - we were lucky when we set off home Saturday morning that there was a cleaner in the office to take our key as otherwise we would have been stuck on the park until 10am. I think this was my biggest issue overall. I think there needs to be somewhere to drop off keys if you need to set off early as we did. Overall though, these are small issues and really didn't spoil the holiday in any way. I would 100% recommend the huts and will definitely be coming back! Thank you Dacre!

Just amazing, checking in was easy staff where very friendly, just a beautiful place.

The hut was fine. But the access road at the final 50 metres was thickly layered shingle which is dangerous for 2-wheelers and I dropped my motorcycle. It’s impossible to safely ride on a bed of shingle that thick (ie 20-40cm layer). It’s deceptive because most of the track is higher traction gravel. It’s only the last section that’s so hazardous.

Amazing

The only down side was that the hut didn’t have a TV so if it’s a rainy day (like we had) there isn’t much to do whilst waiting for it to stop, but if you aren’t affected by being out the rain then it’s the perfect break! Otherwise I would advise to take a laptop or iPad for Cosy nights in! The hut was so lush, clean and tidy and the view of the lake was amazing! I didn’t want to come home
