Reviews

The location & the privacy. The hot tub was amazing and the attention to detail at the lodge was second to none! The owners were very accommodating & friendly. It was such a bonus to be able to take the dogs also. It was an amazing break & we will certainly be returning.

We both had an absolutely fantastic time & would not hesitate to recommend this to my family & friends.

Everything we needed was there. The owners had really thought about every detail; for example, the outside hooks for towels whilst in the lovely hot tub.

Lovely lodge with great views.

Excellent service and a brilliant location; very relaxing, peaceful and tranquil.

A wonderful place, had lovely hospitality and it was a beautiful place to stay. The hot tub was an added bonus and so relaxing.

The location of the property was stunning. We had a warm welcome from the owners who responded very quickly to any query we had. There were some lovely personal touches that were greatly appreciated and a secure garden ideal for young children and pets. Walks of different levels of difficulty were on your doorstep and beautiful night skies when the weather permitted.

This is a truly excellent Lodge which caters for your every need. The owners are very welcoming and the location is perfect.

A superb lodge in a beautiful area. A perfect place to get away for a relaxing break.

Peaceful, relaxing, clean, welcoming, friendly home from home.

Have just returned from a wonderful family holiday at Lon Lodges, stating in Sycamore Lodge. Very friendly welcome from Kerena who really seems to care about ensuring your stay is perfect. The lodge itself is fantastic, very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Very peaceful location and loved sitting in the hot tub in the evening, after our days out. Location is great for stuff to do, we went to Glansevern Hall & Gardens; Elan Valley; Powis Castle and Gigrin Farm (Red Kite feeding) and had a great time. If you're looking for great accommodation and a friendly welcome then Lon Lodges are perfect.

Wow just Wow

This place is amazing, where do I start. Beautiful Location, looking out onto open fields. Karena and Stephen have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay perfect, lovely Welsh Wine and Welsh Cakes to welcome you. Tea, Coffee and milk in the fridge. Beds all made with Egyptian Cotton bedding, complimentary Bath Products. There's DVDs, Games, books on wild life. Bird Feeding Station outside Kitchen window, lovely to stand there watching the Birds and Squirrels feeding in the Morning while drinking your cup of complementary Welsh Tea. And when you come back in the evening after a day out nothing beats getting into the Hot Tub and relaxing looking at the night sky. Such a peaceful location. Lots to do round and about, Elan Valley is stunning. Red Kite feeding 10 minutes up the road is a must. King Arthur's labyrinth about an hours drive away is a great day out for the kids and the Corris Craft Village is lovely. Rhyader is 10 minutes down the road with lovely Pubs to eat in, got a traditional butchers there 'Bob the Butcher' who sells lovely local produce. Cobble box the sweet shop is a must, everyone is so friendly. Cannot wait to go again. If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay with top class amenities look no further than Ash or Sycamore Lodges, 5* Accomodation.

Best weekend

This is my second visit to Lon Lodges. I visited with 5 other ladies that i work with as it sleeps 6. I cannot begin to explain how AMAZING we have found it here. To begin with we are met by Kerena who is such a lovely lady and so helpful. She shows you around the lodge and explains how all the appliances and hot tub work. But if you are ever unsure there is a folder with instructions to help. This folder also includes local takeaways, taxi numbers, restaurant menus and walking paths which we were so impressed by how organised it was. On arrival they have supplied all the essentials of tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tabs, milk, toilet roll and welshcakes and wine !!! Obviously you may need to bring your own but these little touches are greatly appreciated. The kitchen is equipped for every single thing you may require on your visit and more. They also provide board games, small amounts of toiletries in the bathroom, towels....the list really does go on. We didnt want for anything whilst here. The bedrooms are comfortable and cosy, had such a peaceful sleep when we stayed. Obviously the best bit was the hot tub. With the stunning views it was just what 6 care workers needed for our girly weekend away and we really cant thank you both enough. We booked our next visit for November just before we left, that in itself speaks for how wonderful this place is and it truly deserves a visit !

Mr

Omg we had a fantastic long weekend here. The lodge is spotless clean. The extra touches we recieved were lovely. We arrived to a cold bottle of wine and 2 packs of welshcakes plus a hand written welcone note from the owners. The lodge is deffinatly well stocked with everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. We all enjoyed the board games and cards that were there plus all the reading materials. An added bonus was the tea, coffee and sugar bowls were full they even left a bottle of milk in the fridge!! The beds were really comfortable we all slept like logs all weekend. The area of the lodge is lovely and peacful with plenty of wildlife and lovely walks. You are also a short drive from rhyader itself with lots of lovely little shops and country pubs. The elan valley was also a great drive around. All in all there is not 1 negative thing i can say about this place. We will deffinatly be returning and recommending to all our family and friends. Thank you so much to all tge owners and workers
