Kitchen facilities was fairly good. When we arrived all the windows were open so lodge had lots of flies had to Keep windows shut and bought fly spray . Sofa in the room is very uncomfortable. Plus the site only had 3 lodges so it is not a holiday park . No where to really walk unless u walk along a the road

Terrible place

Shame about the hygiene, I was prepared as others had left the same sort of review, but with covid So prevalent and small hand prints on windows, doors and mirrors it was obvious that cleaning was not this sites forte. Offended by smell tracked down to an awful cloth left under the sink , dispatched to the bin and everywhere cleaned with wet wipes , to my dismay all surfaces must have been cleaned with said cloth as all wet wipes were very dirty and the smell diminished. Shame.

Lovely relaxing short stay.It was post Covid lockdown week so had to cut our holiday short but the owners were happy for us to stay all day on checkout day which made a massive difference.

Great value budget holiday. Stayed Monday to Friday during the pandemic and we were just happy to get away for a few days. Greeted at the lodge by Steve who was very friendly and helpful. The lodge itself wasn't the best we've stayed in and we would have thought that during lockdown the outside decking area would have been immaculate but it was all in desperate need of jet washing and staining. The hot tub was a bit dated and after 4 days of use with only two of us using it there was scum build up which was disappointing as we have a hot tub at home and never have this issue. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed and there's also a utility room with washing machine etc. The outside garden area is very spacious. The bathrooms were very clean and fresh but absolutely tiny mirror and useless unless you're 6 feet tall. The bedding and pillows were poor quality and flat and bedroom furnishings could be much better, frayed lamp shades and a huge plank of wood missing inside the wardrobe so some of our belongings fell through it. No mirrors in the bedrooms, so take your own for drying and styling your hair or applying makeup. You'll need a car to get about as there's nothing within walking distance. All in all, it was nice to get away, but it needs money spending on the little touches to get us to return again.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Sycamore lodge. We had a lovely time, the lodge was spacious, clean and had everything that we required for our stay. It was in a quiet area which made our stay very relaxing and was exactly what we wanted. Check in was very easy, the keys were in the lodge and we were greeted by the owners mum to show us around. I have no idea why there are negative reviews about this place as it is great value for money! Would definitely recommend and will hopefully return myself for another stay.

Very clean and well appointed lodge, own garden with washing line and pegs. Secluded hot tub that seats 4, 1 double en-suite 2 twins all with TV's, bathroom and utility room. Plenty of parking next to lodge.
